Details: These earrings are a modern take on a Lover's Eye. Beautiful 14k gold eyes carved into two oval discs - symbolizing that one is being watched over.

During the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries lover's eye miniature portraits became a trend. These portraits - depicting the giver's eye - would then be presented to a loved one for them to wear - whether set in a ring. brooch. snuff box. etc.

Measurements: The overall drop is 7/8. The disc is 1/2 wide. 3/8 tall.
